unnamed-2unnamedunnamed-1img_7078-1On Saturday, October 8, the Sports CLUB K6 football JV North Carolina team was the special guest of Ave Maria football. Most of the players on the JV North Carolina team are from Sabal Palm Elementary and Estates Elementary. The team played their regular Saturday morning Sports CLUB K6 football game and then traveled to Ave Maria with their parents for the Gyrenes noon kickoff.  The families were greeted with a special event tent in the south end zone and treated to pizza and drinks.

At halftime of the Ave Maria game, the group was divided into two teams and played an intra-squad scrimmage game on the Ave Maria Football Field.  K6 Coaches Will Aquino and Tyler Uzcatagui were the coaches of the teams.   All of the boys played hard and had fun in front of the Ave Maria crowd.  After halftime, the K6 players greeted the Ave Maria players with “high fives” as they entered the field.  Sports CLUB hopes to continue this partnership in the future by having their K6 teams showcased at both a basketball game and the spring football game.
