KINDERSPORT

“On the cutting edge of youth athletics and child development”

The Kindersport Program

Our goal in the Sports CLUB K6 Kindersport Program is to make a child’s initial sports participation a positive, healthy experience.  Often young children are enrolled into an organized sport before they are developmentally ready, and the experience is counterproductive.

A child’s first experience with sports should be fun, positive, and engaging with activities tailored to their age and ability.

In Kindersport, children will be grouped by motor ability to aid in the development of self-confidence.

Goals of program:

Hand-Eye Coordination
Hand-Foot Coordination
Agility
Spatial Concept
Balance
 Education on Various Sports
Health Education Concepts
Sportsmanship
Competitive Spirit

Program Director

Bill Carufe -For over 40 years, Bill has been an educator and mentor of children from ages 4-18 in recreation departments, public schools, private schools as well as at Sports CLUB.  He began the Sports CLUB Kinder-Sport concept in 2011, and he is excited to bring the concept back to Sports CLUB.

Bill has an extensive background in developmental sports progressions for young children and will direct a team of Kinder-Sport coaches who have experience working with young children.  In this program, children will have the opportunity to improve their locomotor skills, eye-hand/eye foot coordination, and get exposed to a wide range of sports so they will be better prepared when they join and organized youth sports team.
