Marissa is a fourth-generation Floridian who was born and raised in Sarasota. She ran cross country and played basketball throughout school. After graduation, Marissa moved to Fort Myers to get her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from FGCU. She is now the director at Osceola and loves being able to work with kids every day.

PAYMENTS ARE DUE ON THE FRIDAY PRIOR TO EACH WEEK YOUR CHILD ATTENDS.
The declined payment fee is $35 for non-sufficient funds. The parent or legal guardian will be required to provide compensation in full (money order or cashier’s check only) prior to the child attending further.
Late Pick-up Policy
$1 per minute will be charged for late pick-up. Late
pick-up fee must be paid in cash.
Enrollment Sports CLUB at Osceola Elementary
To enroll your child for Sports CLUB at Osceola Elementary, please complete the following enrollment forms and turn them in at least one day prior to your child starting at Osceola Elementary.
A Typical Day at Osceola’s Sports CLUB
We begin our program each day directly after school dismissal. All students and staff meet under the pavilion where the children sit in lines designated per grade. This begins the check-in process and daily announcements. Following check-in, we begin snack and free-play time. Students in pre-k through second grade (JV) line up for snack while third grade through fifth grade (Varsity) goes to free-play. Once children enter the cafeteria and are dismissed to wash their hands, we provide them with a snack of their choice. They also have the option of bringing their own snack from home. After snack, JV goes to free-play and Varsity enters the cafeteria for their snack time. Free-play and snack wraps up around 3:30 p.m. and we begin our first rotation.
Monday through Thursday we always offer a silent homework rotation for the students. We also allow parents the option of putting their child on a “Mandatory Homework” list to ensure that they go to the homework rotation every day. Children have 45 minutes per rotation. If they finish their homework early, they will choose one of the other rotation options and be dismissed from homework to play.
Our rotations always consist of both indoor and outdoor activities for children to choose from. We provide a variety of options each day to keep the children interested and engaged in our program. Some of these rotations include playground, arts and crafts, freeze dance, board games, legos and coloring, outdoor sports such as flag football, basketball, whiffle ball and many more options. We also incorporate S.T.E.M. learning activities as a choice for the students to further their creativity and problem-solving skills while encouraging experimentation and teamwork.
As a parent, you need to contact the front office of your child’s school to request a change in transportation to Sports CLUB. At dismissal, your child’s teacher will take your child to a Sports CLUB designated area. Your child will check in with a Sports CLUB staff member when they arrive.
For pick up, please bring a photo ID every day to the Sports CLUB check-out location. Please contact your child’s individual site for exact location of Sports CLUB check-out. The times for pick up can be any time between 3:15 and 6:30 pm.
No, your child is not required to attend every day, however, please be advised of your child’s site payment policy.
Tuition is broken down by full week and partial week and shall be paid as such. All tuition must be paid in advance by FRIDAY of each week prior to services being rendered the following week. Tuition is expected based on the student’s enrollment and will be billed weekly to the student’s account accordingly.
Our daily activities program includes but is not limited to the following: arts and crafts, baseball, cheerleading, dance, floor hockey, football, free play activities, homework assistance, kickball, lacrosse, ping pong, scooter games, soccer, tumbling, and volleyball. We also have various special events throughout the year. Children are encouraged to make positive choices for themselves by selecting an assortment of activities each day that provides both physical and mental benefits.
One of the best things about Sports CLUB is that we truly are “All About Choices.” If your child does not wish to participate in a sport rotation, then they are able to choose another rotation that better suits them. Sports CLUB also offers a variety of activities including: arts and crafts, board games, dance, indoor and outdoor group games.
Sports CLUB is a participant in the Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida and has its own scholarship program. Please contact the local site director for more information regarding scholarship application deadlines.
All Sports CLUB staff members are state and federal background checked prior to employment as well as child care facility training through the Department of Children and Families. Sport CLUB also requires each staff member to attend yearly in-service trainings including first aid and CPR courses. Although the State of Florida requires a staff to child ratio of 25:1, Sports CLUB strives to maintain well above the minimum by maintaining a 18:1 ratio.
